INDY WRAP UP
Sixteen electrifying races were run
during the 2003 Indy Racing League IndyCar Series. Fourteen of
those races were won by Bosch-sparked drivers. One of those
Bosch drivers, New Zealand’s own Scott Dixon, took the
checkered flag in three races and ultimately drove off with
the championship. Dixon’s title was the eighth straight IRL
championship for Bosch.
Bosch also performed well at
open-wheel racing’s most renowned event, the 2003 Indianapolis
500, where Gil de Ferran drove a Marlboro Team Penske Dallara
Toyota all the way to victory lane. This year’s Brickyard
success means that Bosch spark plugs have powered 17
consecutive Indy 500 victories. |
